Become a Beta Tester on DeviantArt!
Join the beta testing program to help test and improve future DeviantArt features! Beta testing is a cornerstone of DeviantArt’s history, and beta testers benefit the community by providing feedback and usage data. Through bug reports and insight shared during the testing stages, beta testers can help shape and improve site features. Any deviant can become a beta tester by adding this journal to their favourites. :+fav: New Beta Testers are added daily; once you favorite this journal, you'll gain access the following day. If you decide later that you want to opt-out, you can do so by removing this journal from your favorites and you'll be removed the following day. :sherlock: How It Works Beta testers are among the first to see new features introduced to DeviantArt. This early access is provided so deviants can test new features and provide feedback for the DeviantArt team through comments, bug reports, and user engagement metrics before it's released sitewide. Teach Me, Senpai! Vol. 6 Journal Skins
Hello! Welcome to the sixth edition of 'Teach Me, Senpai!' here at fella (https://www.deviantart.com/fella). If you're unfamiliar with what this is, it's essentially a monthly feature of tutorials, made by deviants, explaining individual tasks, which then come together into one whole project. This month, we'll be making a journal skin!

What would you like to know about seniors-answers
Senior Week
First of all, thanks for coming to Chat event in communityweek! :star: We asked seniors some questions and there you can read answers. And there http://forum.deviantart.com/devart/general/2017289/ you can ask seniors about everything, also seniors CAN answer! :salute:
This is a part I!
MiyuDimon (https://www.deviantart.com/miyudimon) asks: "What does it feel like, to check your messages and see that in your box. That you got seniority? To me I think that moment when you know, would be a proud moment, a crying moment. But I am curious as to what others felt like."
justMANGO (https://www.deviantart.com/justmango): "Our inboxes just get spammed" Well I actually more excited about getting that than

Stuff that happens to DD Suggesters!
I have dreamed of writing this journal for a long time now! :D For this DD Celebration Week, here are some funny/strange/awkward things that have happened to me or things that I have done during this awesome journey! Please share your experiences too! :eager:
I always read the comments of my suggested DDs. I always comment on them too.
Sometimes, I have sent notes to random people and, by instinct and habit, I write to the Subject box “DD Suggestion”! Once or twice, I have actually sent these notes to them, before noticing the wrong title!
Sometimes I accidentally push the Send button before writing the DD description.

Photography... To Edit or Not to Edit?
Community Week
This is an important subject for the future of the photography community at deviantART and one that I hope will spark discussion, and the interest, of photographers and admirers. This article is intended for all skill levels but may be of particular interest to new photogs or even non-photographers.
Introduction
I cannot tell you how many times I have offered editing advice on a photograph that suggests tweaking the brightness, increasing the contrast, adding blur, and so on. Often times this advice is accepted or argued back with a defense of why the photographer does not agree with my opinion. However, too often I get respo

GDD Interviews: 3wyl on General Photography
Hello everyone!
Welcome to the eigth of many Community Volunteer interviews! Community Volunteers are responsible for many things here on DA, one of them being Daily Deviations. Since Daily Deviations are the focus of this group, we thought you might enjoy interviews of the folks in control of the features! The eight edition is with 3wyl (https://www.deviantart.com/3wyl) , one of our General Photography CVs, we hope you'll enjoy the read!1. Why did you choose to become a CV?
There were many reasons why I applied to be a Community Volunteer. Mostly, it was the opportunity to do something more on the site that I hadn't already done. The things that I did before becoming a Com

Forum Features #49 - October: Supernatural!
Once again, the Community Relations team is here to feature the artworks of deviantART's beloved forumers! :la:
Once a month, we select one active member from the forums and we feature his or her gallery. This is someone we believe represents the forums well with both good forum-abilities and art.
As we're kind (and awesome), we also decided to give an opportunity for everybody to get featured! Every month, we create a thread in the Deviation Thumbshare Forum with a particular theme. This thread is made into a sticky for easy access. All you have to do is post thumbs of your artwork that match the theme and, at the end of the month, we sele
Conceptual photography is about taking an idea and seeing it all the way through to the creation stage. I often struggled, in Art classes years ago, to understand what was truly expected of me when the Teacher asked for Conceptual Artwork. Then I slowly started to realise the basics behind the term Concept by looking at typical words and phrases and seeing how other artists had illustrated them. For example below, you will see an image entitled Sharp Tongued. It's a fairly common phrase and the photographer has taken that and visually reconstructed it. Conceptual Photography can make us realise how silly our phrases are when they are visu
